Joanna Grossman (Bride)
After bridesmaiding several times—including a stint as Maiden of
Honor in the Grossman-Reilly wedding of '03—the Producers felt Joanna
was ready to step up into the leading role. "Joanna was pretty naive
when she started in the wedding business," said one of her longtime
associates. "It was actually kind of cute—she'd get so excited about
doing the Electric Slide. Sometimes she'd even ask me to toss a
bouquet her way just for fun!"
"We decided to take a chance on Joanna, even though she's never
been the leading lady before," said Producer Patty Miller. "We're
confident we've chosen the right woman. And, heck, if she spills red
wine on her veil, well that's what they make Shout Wipes for!"
Nate Miller (Groom)
Nate was the go-to Groom from the beginning, but according to
sources close to the production it took some convincing to get him to
accept the role. "Nate didn't want to marry into just any family,"
said a source close to the negotiations. "He needed some assurances
that there would be four-wheelers for him to ride when this was
all over."
According to the contract obtained by TheSmokingGun.com, Nate was guaranteed
the use of a four-wheeler any time he visits the bride's family,
and he was also given the right to pick as many blackberries as he
wants while riding the four-wheelers. "Nate had some pretty big
demands," said Producer Dan Grossman, "but we felt it was worth it
to get him in this role."

Papparazzi caught Nate and Jo rehearsing the critical "riding off
into the sunset, with just a glace over our shoulders" scene. |
